He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Birge and Vida Birge (Hamblin); his sisters, Dena Dunham and Cora Coleen Birge; and his granddaughters, Kaylee and Madison Birge.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Birge; and his children, Cheryl Goertz of Fort Worth, TX, David Birge (Debbie) of Cheyenne and Steven Birge (Moneen) of Bedford, TX. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
