He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hyjek and Eleanor Hyjek. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hyjek of Buffalo; his children, Patricia Hyjek of Sheridan, Tammy Stokley (Tim) of Denver, Colorado and Valentine M. Hyjek II of San Jose, California; his sister Mary Ann Hyjek of New York; and his grandchildren, Veronique, Jessica, Meghan and Kellicia. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Donations in Val's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
