He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Custis and Kenneth Custis; his aunt Gladys; and his uncles, Bill Scott and Everett Evans.
He is survived by: his former wife Karen Aksamit; his wife Ann Johnson; his children, Kevin Custis (Nina) of Sheridan, Kenny Custis (Lynn) of Sheridan, Charla Custis (Kirk Patterson) of Colorado Springs, CO and Pete Madsen (Colette) of Hoffman Estates, IL; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Kyle, Garrett, Kolin, Olivia, Gwen, Vivienne and Gordon; and his cousin John Custis.
