He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Reuben Anderson and Ruth Anderson; his grandfather Victor; his former wife Marietta Pinkley (Susan); his wife Vernita Faye Firestone Berry; his daughter-in-law Debra; his brother Rodney; his former wife Susan; his brother Melvin; and his children, Donna (Marvin Peters), Dean (Brenda Anderson), Dennis (Barbara Anderson), Dwayne (Chaurisse Anderson), David (Sarah Anderson), Vern (Debra McAdams) and Vance McAdams of Denver. He was also cherished by nineteen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Albin Baptist Church or Gideons International.
