She was predeceased by: her parent Arthur Denzle; her husband Wilber V. Carmichael; her son Donald "Donnie" Keith Hitt; and her siblings, Ruby Cozad, Alberta Smith, Lucille Grisham, Jack Murphy, Charles Murphy and Marvin Murphy.
She is survived by: her parent Thelma Grace Bauserman Murphy; her children, Sharon Ann Carmichael of Columbus, MS, Rodney Carmichael and Clem Floyd of Wolf Summit; her grandson Christopher Claypole of Columbus, MS; and her brothers, Kenneth Joe Murphy and William Eugene Murphy of Keyser, WV. She is also survived by niece who was a huge help in the last few years with Alma's care, Dottie Lowe, of Wolf Summit, and several nieces and nephews.
