He was predeceased by: his siblings, Regina Sampson and Scott Sampson. He is survived by: his sons, Dustin Sampson of Charleston and Brandon Sampson of Marmet; the mother of his children Shawna Pauley of Winifrede; his sons, Harley of Marmet and Samuel Sampson of Marmet; the mother of his children Angela Selbe; his parents, Beulah Parsons Evans of Marmet and Wes Sampson of Ohio; and his brothers, Chuck Sampson (Kim) of Loudendale and Jesse Sampson of Beckley.
