He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph D. "Starkey" Terry and Virginia L. Leadmon Terry; his sisters, Marion "Mat" Randolph and Elva "Sis" Terry; and his brothers-in-law, Garland "Peanut" Hayes and Bernard "Bernie" Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Gayla Williamson Terry; his daughter Allison; his son-in-law Dathan Holley; his grandchildren, Brock and Darbe Holley; his sisters, Lucy Hartley, Ruby Hayes, Grace Terry and Maxine Smith; his brother-in-law Stanley Randolph; and his nieces and nephews, Chris Randolph (Joy), David Meadows, Brian Hartley, Amber Catlin (Kyle), Paige Catlin (Bobby), JW Catlin and Hope Hartley.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (12848 Winfield Rd, Winfield, WV 25213). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
