He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Watson and Garnett Call Watson; and his siblings, John Jr., Willie, Robert, James, Kenneth, Bernard, Ronald and Alma Watson.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Watson; his sons, Greg Watson (Robin) and Kevin Watson (Michelle); his grandsons, Joshua Watson and Nathaniel Watson; his stepgrandchildren, Jackson Kiser (Emily) and Emily Bush (Trae); his stepgreat-grandchild Grey Kiser; and his sister Linda Meeks. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
