It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kenneth Cowan of Winfield, West Virginia, born in Petroleum, West Virginia, who passed away on August 23, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Cowan and Lucille Cowan; and his brothers, Roy Dale Cowan and Larry Allen Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Kay Cowan; his sons, Tim Cowan (Lora) of Winfield and Chad Cowan (Melissa) of Sheridan, WY; his sister Linda Moore (John) of Hurricane; his grandsons, Zachary Cowan (Brenna) of Knoxville, TN, Seth Cowan (Lorren) of New Bern, NC and Landry Cowan of Sheridan, WY; and his stepgrandsons, Hunter Randolph of Poca and Noah Randolph of Poca. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family service due to covid-19 concerns.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Ken's name to the First Baptist Church of Dunbar, 311 16th Street, Dunbar WV 25064, Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
