He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Sturgeon and Helen Gladys Gibson Sturgeon; and his sister Fern Sturgeon. He is survived by: his wife Hazel "Midge" Shaffer Sturgeon; his children, Marcia L. Fewell (Rob) of Winfield and Dale Sturgeon of St. Marys; his sister Norma Clark (Charlie) of Durham, NC; his grandchildren, Brian Sturgeon (Samantha) of St. Marys and Whitney Harris (Andy) of Hurricane; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Reagan and Carter Sturgeon.
