She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora L. Ekers and Peggy Flamont Ekers; her husband Huey C. Nix Sr.; her stepfather Jack Nichols; her sister Caroline Ekers; and her son-in-law David R. Bennett.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Bennett (David), Allison Parkins (Kerry) and Huey C. Nix Jr. (Charlenia); her siblings, Linda Hinton and David Ekers; her granddaughters, Heather Fagan Shannon White (Jamin), Bethany McClanahan (PE), Morganne Tenney (JR), Rachel Nix (Charles Fernsell) and Katherine Nix (Kord Mullins); her great grandchildren, Nora White, Noelle Fagan, Grier McClannahan, Landon Tenney, Grant McClanahan and Jack Tenney; her niece Michelle Craver; and her friend Debbie Chinn.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rest Memory Gardens (349 Cemetery Drive, Red House, WV 25168). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
