With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David L. Armstead (Winfield, West Virginia), born in Clio, West Virginia, who passed away on August 18, 2019 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Armstead and Virginia Armstead of Elkview; his son David "Davey" Lee Armstead Jr.; his sister Pat Taylor; and his mother-in-law Ruth Ashley of Clendenin.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Armstead; his daughter Stephanie Armstead; his grandsons, Damion and Dominick; his siblings, Allen Armstead of Elkview, Connie Morris of Charleston and Linda Kinder of Charleston; his brother-in-law Mike Ashley of Winfield; and also Christy Armstead.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to St. Jude's Childrens Reasearch Hospital.
