He was predeceased by: his parent John Samuel; and his wife Nora "Liz" Elizabeth Wilson. He is survived by: his parent Winnie Pearl Benson McGown; his nieces and nephews, Judy Shanks of Columbus, OH, Kathy McVey (Bill) of Delaware, OH, Suzanne Brown (Dave) of Tempi, AZ, Deborah Stoops (Eugene) of Coolville, OH, Winnie Luckett (Jay), John McGown, Paul McGown, Jr. and Joel McGown; and his granddaughter Maria. He is also survived by one daughter, a son.
