He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Hayes (Miller) and Frank Hayes; his wife Dottie; his son Jeff Flinn; his brother Bobbie Hayes; and his great grandchild Marlie Browning.

He is survived by: his children, Mick Flinn, Brian Hayes, Shaun Hayes (Shanon) and Kelly Davis; his sister Joy Brownfield (John); and his close friends, Rhonda Hawes (Jeff), John Schoebe and Butch Wright. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter.
