He was predeceased by: his parent Pennsboro Chief of Police; his grandparents, Orville, Velma Barker, Clarence and Bettie Smith; and his pet Bullet.
He is survived by: his mother Charlotte A. Smith Barker of Mineral Wells; his daughter Ashley Lies (Cory) of Andale, KS; his sister Catharine A. Kerr (William) of Parkersburg; his grandchildren, Nevaeh, Dakota and Parker Lies; his nephew Chris Kerr (Christy); and his nieces, Rebecca Hughes (Ryan) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Michelle Cooley (Matt) of Stow, OH. He is also survived by eight great-nieces and nephews.
