It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Phillips of Williamson, West Virginia, who passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Isom Phillips and Marie Obey Phillips; his wife Mary Willis Phillips; his siblings, Earnest Ray, Robert, Isom, II and Mollie Starling; and his grandson Zachary Shirk.
He is survived by: his children, Johnathan Hill-Phillips, Zander Phillips, Malachi Phillips, Tonya Strother of Middletown, Ohio, LaTashia Thaxton of Cincinnati, Ohio, Susan Renee Shirk of Columbus and Makayla Phillips; his siblings, Jackie Phillips (Sheila) of Tennessee and Arlet Eldridge of Williamson; his grandchildren, Christian, Anthony, II, Drake Strother, Heavahn Thaxton-Isham, Evan Shirk and Monique Dotson Elkins; and his nephew Tony Robinson.
