He was predeceased by: his parent John Altizer; his wife Elsie Lenora Altizer; and his sisters, Helen Lusk (Ray), Juanita Lusk (Glen), Naomi Whitten (Ralph), Frankie Short (Carmel) and M'Ledge Altizer.
He is survived by: his parent Virginia Christian Altizer; his children, Penny Bowen (Greg) of Williamson, W. V, Tim Altizer (Regina) of Ransom and Mike Altizer (Tammy Rutherford) of Hardy; his brother Douglas Altizer (Joan) of Barboursville, W. V; his grandchildren, Brad Bowen (Brandy), Ginni Bowen, Michelle Varney (Heath), Christian Altizer, Eric Altizer (Jessika), Brittany Altizer and Madison Altizer; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Bowen, Logan Bowen, Emmerson Bowen, Aubrey Bowen, Giovanni Turgilatto, Isabella Turgilatto, Charley Sue Altizer, Rowan Elizabeth Dingess and Sophie Dingess.
