He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Bolyard and Margaret Helen Bolyard (Ayersman); his former wife Charlotte Bolyard; and his brothers, James and Eugene Bolyard.
He is survived by: his former wife Alice Bolyard (Shanholtz); his children, John Wesley Bolyard (Debbie) and Diana Lee Edmiston (Harry "Butch); and his stepchildren, Dr. Rick Houdersheldt, Greg Houdersheldt and Tammy Houdersheldt. He is also survived by four grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren: four great grandchildren; as well as numerous step great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
