He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeremiah Defibaugh and Margaret Defibaugh (Schoenadel); his son-in-law Robert E. "Bobby" Engelbach; his grandson Jeremiah Smith; his siblings, Thomas Defibaugh and Nancy Stark (John); and his sister-in-law Patty Hare.
He is survived by: his wife Dixie L. Defibaugh (Brown); his children, Tina M. Smith (Steve), Michael E. Defibaugh (Kelly) and Jennifer L. Engelbach; his grandchildren, Garrett P. Smith, Justine M. Smith, Erika R. Smith and Savannah Ellsworth; his great grandchildren, Willa Smith and Sage Allen; his sister Barbara Joyce Brown (Eugene); and his siblings-in-law, Suzy Defibaugh, Lori Miller (Dean) and Stanley Hare. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited and welcome to only attend the committal service outdoors to accommodate pandemic safety concerns.
