He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Meade and Mary Jane McCloud Meade; his sisters, Virginia McCloud Ellis and Gracie; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Ellis "Bubbles", Greg White and Tim Lowe; and his nephews, Dwayne Ellis and Jason Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Evans Meade; his sons, Leonard R. Meade Jr., Christopher Lee Meade and James Meade; his daughters-in-law, Alexis Meade and Kayla Meade; his siblings, Patricia White, Sherry Lowe, Rachel Jones (Mark), William Meade (Karen), Roger Meade (Rhonda), Johnny Meade (Gail), Timmy Meade, Eric Meade (London), David Meade (Angie) and Melvin Meade (Danette); and his close friends, Darrell Campbell and Kenith Marcum. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
