It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margarete June Vance of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, who passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred W Vance and Elvina Jane Howard Vance; her husband Wilbur H. Vance; her siblings, Calvin, Ward Vance, Evelyn Burns and Ruth Wilson; and her granddaughter Cathy Rodgers.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth (Linda) of Richmond, VA., Roger "Pete" (Donna), Loxley "Lucky" (Linda) of Caldwell, WV, Charlotte Vance and Bonnie Rodgers of Warrenton, VA.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.
The family suggested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901, in Memory of Margarete.
