He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Arvin and Leona Arvin (Dickerson). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Fay Arvin (Murphy); and his children, Raymond Arvin (Rose) of Columbus, Melissa Olivent (Jerry) of Portsmouth, OH, Robin McCoy of Charleston and Sabrina Harris (Calvin) of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
