He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrl S. Wood and Opal Virginia Wood (Rutan); his close friend Juanita Workman; his siblings, Sylvia Dunlap, Connie Young, Eva Coulter, Joseph Wood and Robert Wood; his stepdaughter Paula Maples; and his stepgrandson Chaz Lightner.
He is survived by: his children, Opal Workman, Shari Wood and Norman Workman; and his siblings, Joan Cunningham (Mark), Vera Applegarth, Donna Riggs, Eulelah Riddle, Evert Allen Wood and Melvin Wood. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
