It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Wilson Nightengale of Wheeling, West Virginia, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wilson and Elizabeth Isabelle Nightengale (Robinson); and his sisters, Virginia Louise Nightengale, Patricia Nightengale and Joyce Nightengale.
He is survived by: his sisters, Lillian Smith of Wheeling and Bronzella Colloway of Wheeling; and his nieces and nephews, Lewis Smith, Andre Smith, Gregory Nightengale, AlFago Nightengale, Melanie Nightengale, Yolanda Nightengale, Senteria Nightengale, Freda Plummer, Anita Nightengale and Moesha Nightengale.
Viewing was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Schetz Funeral Home (4719 Jacob St, Wheeling, WV 26003).
