With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gene Ryan in Wheeling, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Gene left this world on February 21, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence E. Ryan and Wanda Lee Keenan Ryan; his brother Monte Ryan; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Stefan and Jim Kindberg.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Jack Ryan (Stacy Leonard), Ronnie Ryan (Stacy), Bonnie Hewitt, Neva Banks and Pauline Ryan; the mother of his children Doris Ryan; his stepson Allen Armstrong (Jennifer Nice); his sisters, Lucky Carroll (Brian), Connie Stefan, Bonnie Klotz (Herb), Maretta Kindberg and Angie Parker; and his granddaughter Allie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home (1400 Eoff St, Wheeling, WV 26003). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
