He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Szafran and Thelma Szafran (Anderson); his daughter Christine Szafran; his brothers, Walter and Richard Szafran; and his parents-in-law, Ralph and Hilda Conner (Bowman).
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Szafran (Conner); his son Jeff Szafran; his grandchildren, Johnna Stevey (Zach) and Francis Szafran (Dawn Killen); and his great grandchild Daemon Szafran. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel (118 Grant Ave, Moundsville, WV 26041). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
