He is survived by: his mother Mary Jane Dotson (Cohenour); his wife Margaret "Marty" Dotson (Toler); his son Johnathon "Bub" Dotson (Madison); his grandchildren, Jaylyn, Josie, Paxton, Landon Dotson and Jordan Ferguson; his siblings, Earl Jr. Dotson (Carmella), Anthony Dotson (Tammy), Tara Wells (Jimmy) and Kimberly Blankenship (Rodney); his siblings-in-law, Shane Toler (Jennifer), Eric Toler (Christy) and Vickie Browning (Steve); and his close friend Bradley Butcher.
