He is survived by: his wife Liza Trent (Cline) of Wharncliffe, WV; his children, Pam De Sliva (Matthew) of Benson, NC, Rose Coleman of Chapmanville, WV, Merronda Harvell (Tim) of Willow Springs, NC, Vickie Brown (Tim) of Benson, NC. and David Cantrell of Wharncliffe, WV.; his close friend Troy New of Gilbert Creek, WV.; his grandchildren, Ashley Strunk (Chris) of Chapmanville, WV, Christopher Laney (Ellen) of Dunn, NC, Krystal Clark (Wesley Wilson) of Angier, NC, Amber Bradshaw (Junior) of Ft. Liberty, NC, Steven Brown (Kayla) of Four Oaks, NC, Justin Cline (Heather Gibbs) of Benson, NC, Jacob De Silva (Makayla Autry) of Willow Springs, NC and Kara Brown (Mason Barraza) of Tarboro, NC.; his great grandchildren, Takoda, Khileigh, Makenzie, Cole, Adelyn, Bane, Weston, Anna Grace, John Allen, Kasen and Knox; and his siblings, Jessie Trent (Linda) of Verner, WV, Rev. Jonas Trent (Erma) of Baisden, WV, Clifford Trent (Kaye) of Baisden, Herman Trent (Teresa) of Baisden, Elmer Trent (Dorothy) of Chicago, IL. and Ella (June Bug). He is also survived by relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel Mounts Funeral Home (253 4th Ave, Gilbert, WV 25621). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
