He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignatius "Michael" and Antonina "Anna" Kopnski (Zuchowski); his parents-in-law, William Tait and Dominica "Minnie" Tait; his siblings, John Kopnski (Louise), Agnes Martin (Porter), Leona Reed (George), Alice Kendall (Calvin), Frances Cuppett (Darlton), Josephine Eavenson (Charles) and Mary Phyllis Kopnski; his nephew Timothy Kendall; and his niece Phyllis Foisie.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Tait Kopnski; his daughters, Marisa Kopnski and Monica Blue (John); his grandchildren, Kenneth Clarke, Christa Ash (Justin), Brooke Payton (Danton) and JJ Blue (Kelcee); his great grandchildren, Madison, Karson Janes, Kenleigh, Asher Payton, Corbin Ash and Walker Blue; his brother Michael Kopnski (Eva); his nieces and nephews, Mark Cuppett, Thomas Reed, Richard Reed, Terry Kendall, Michelle Kopnski, Marnella Harpster, Melissa Ciechalski and Michael Kopnski; his goddaughter Michelle Kopnski; and his friends, Debi Shultz and Gary Marlin.

Arrangements are being handled by Hastings Funeral Home and no services will be held due to the current pandemic.

Donations can be made in Tom's memory to Morgantown Hospice or St. Francis Central Catholic School.
