It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Brock of Westover, West Virginia, born in Morgantown, West Virginia, who passed away on August 24, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Benson and Elizabeth Benson; her husband Samuel Morton Brock, Jr.; her siblings, Jean Benson, Peggy Fleming and George Benson (Betty); and her sisters-in-law, Rose Norman and Virginia Teague.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel Morton Brock III (Marsha) of Durham, NC and Elizabeth Ann Moats (Thomas) of Richmond, VA.; her grandchildren, Reverend Molly Brock White (Patrick) of Raleigh, NC, Adam Benson Brock (Emma) of Los Angeles, CA, Hannah Elizabeth Moats (John Miller) of Richmond, VA and Jesse Howard Moats of Richmond, VA.; her great grandchildren, Ezekiel, Phoebe, Bella, Abigail, Serena and Edward; her brother-in-law Herbert Fleming of Morgantown; and her nieces and nephews, Michael, Jeff Benson, Kent, Emily Fleming, Beth Benson Vincent, Alice Ann Helmuth and Martha Rose Broadhurst.
