She was predeceased by: her parents, Max D. Pyper and Blanche Howard Pyper; her husband Walter King; her son Carroll Dean Pyper; her granddaughter Yavette C. Carter; her great grandchild Chace Evan Hill-Davis; and her siblings, Walter Payne and Lorraine Schmett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Adwinna Neal (Brown), Patricia Brown-Davis and Krissy Hill (Brown); her grandchildren, Thomas Brown (Jessica), Nancy Merrill (Woody), Deborah Michelsen (Brandon), Christopher Carter (Amber), Matthew Carter (McKenna), Michael Penoyer, Patricia Hill and Gene Hill (Carolyn); and her siblings, Dora Saxton, Steven Payne and Charles Payne. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter.
