It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Root (Westover, West Virginia), born in Eglon, West Virginia, who passed away on April 23, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Root and Freda Fike Root; his daughter Terry Lynn Lipscomb; and his sisters, Wanda Roth and Gladys Radabaugh.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine Dean Howell Root; and his sons, David Allen Root (Dana) and Brian James Root (Robin) of Morgantown. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
