He was predeceased by: his parent Wallace Hobert Cogar; his grandparents, Howard Cogar and Hazel Cogar Golden; his stepgrandfather Tom Golden; his grandparents, Morgan "Gundy" and Emma Singleton; and his brother Francis Andrew Cogar.
He is survived by: his parent Hilda Loraine Singleton Cogar; his spouse Judy Priscilla Ellis; his sons, Eric Morgan Cogar (Shawna Marie) of Weston and Adam Scott Cogar (Jephthah Lawson) of Columbus, OH; his grandchildren, Brett Morgan Cogar and Emma Shea Cogar; his siblings, Terry Cogar (Donna) of Weston and Tammy Rovello (Todd) of Shinnston; and his significant other Schnauzer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
