He was predeceased by : his parents, Marvin McBride and Marilyn Sanns Johnson. He is survived by : his children, Lindsey Berry of Weston, Russ McBride (Courtney) of Marietta, OH and James Berry of Lennon, MI, kayle berry of Fowlerville, MI, Ashley sprouse significant other Eric Dennison of weston wv, Cody sprouse and wife Samantha sprouse of janelew wv, Tory Ferrett of Perry, MI; his siblings, Joseph Johnson, Jenny Johnson, Anthony Kier, Jeff Berry, Amber Kier, Aaron Kier, John Berry and Josh Johnson; and his grandchildren, Gauge Dennison, Sage Dennison, Mark Sprouse, Lily Sprouse, Lance Sprouse, Brookelynn Blair, Aubrie Blair and Bentley Blair.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made directly to Pat Boyle Funeral Home, PO Box 569, Jane Lew, WV, 26378, to aid with final expenses.

“I'm sorry for your loss. Know that your father will be well missed by so many. wrote the same on both obits because I truly will miss him. Rusty a true friend forever. Once you met him he sucked in you like you were besties. His warm heart and true laughter was infectious. When you were down he really listened. When you were up he really tried to reel you in so you wouldn't do anything stupid, {wink}. I will truly miss your kind soul. I will see you later. God speed.”
