It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Hyre Jr. of Weston, West Virginia, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ordella Kelly McKinney (Hyre) and Matthew J. Hyre, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Kerri Kiser (Steve), Susan Moody (Dan) of Weston, Brad Hyre (D. J.) and North; and his sister Karen Hyre Ford of Odenton, MD.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of John's late wife Glenda, whom he loved dearly. Keep Matthew's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
