He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mescal Annabelle Collins, Winifred Mae Allman, Elden Gene Stalnaker and Elsie Noreen Payton. He is survived by: his children, Judith Ann Dixon (David) of Bennettsville, SC, Pamela K. Stalnaker of Culpeper, VA and Melissa Jo Shurina (Marty) of Unionville, VA; his grandchildren, Michael Austin Corbin, Morgan Elizabeth Corbin, Logan James Shurina, Bret Madison Shurina and Andrew Vincent Shurina; and his adoptive son Sam Payton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Rex's honor to WV Hospice, 6 Hartman Plaza, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
