He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Rye Heater and Vadie A. Heater (Riffle); his wife Barbara Dell Heater (Carpenter); and his daughter-in-law Ellen Louise Heater. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Jean Heath of Roanoke, Patty Workman (Tim Myers) of Roanoke, Jake Heater of Roanoke and Billy Heater of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Mike Heath (Jason Heath), Betsy Murphy (Charles), Gary Workman (Brenda) and Amanda Heater Keller (Casey Heater Lough); and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Brayden Heath, Marinna, Madison Heath, Savannah, Dakota Workman, Zack, Shelby Murphy, Jacob, Jada Heater, Emilie and Eva Lough. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
