He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Lawrence Moody and Alice Pearl Moody (West); his wife Joan Moody (Cawthon); and his siblings, Eugene Lawrence Moody, Edsel Hoover Moody, Austin Dewey Moody, Irene Inez Moneypenny, Verna Eileen Everett and Alice Roberta King.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Joan Brown (Dwayne) of Weston, WV and Kendell Leon Moody II (Donna) of Weston, WV.; his grandchildren, Kendell Leon Moody III, Edward Moody, Melanie Vanessa Moody, Joni Rockelle Heater, Mikel Edward Brown and Aaron Jordan; his great grandchildren, Bailey Jolee Moody, Jeffrey Alan Heater and Jacob Glen Heater; and his close friend Janet Beckner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
