He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clifford Lappie and Elsie Louise Ebel; his wife Lillian Lappie; and his siblings, Elsie, Winnie and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his children, John Lappie, Jr. (Nancy) and Nancy Beckert; his grandchildren, Dr. John Lappie, Alana Beckert and Brent Beckert; his nieces, Laurie Sowell and Susan Neal; and his nephew Robert Mikenis.
