He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George F. Markley and Opal Sholes Markley; his wife Helen Sue Shaver Markley; his siblings, Don Markley and Norma Jean Markley Peters; his son David Johnston; his daughter-in-law Beth Hymes Johnston; his grandson Spencer Johnston of Virginia Beach, VA.; his nephew Don George Markley (Becky); his niece Donna Markley Malfregeot (Rick); and his adoptive father Bill Burkhammer.
