He was predeceased by: his parent Lovey Damel Thomason; his sisters, Vera Lipscomb and Carol Moss; and his son-in-law Donnie Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Kay Hawkins Thomason; his children, Richard Thomason, Tammy, Roanoke, Cindy Gibson, Chuck, Weston, Kimberly Gibson, Rex Thomason, Tina and Linn; his grandchildren, Crystal, Melissa, Austin, Caleb, Anngelica, Kristyn and Cheyenne; his great grandchild Braden; and his sister Flora Hamric. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
