We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2021, at the age of 86, Charles Curtis Hathaway of Weston, West Virginia, born in Grantsville, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Hathaway and Dorfetta Hathaway; and his son Michael Scott. He is survived by: his children, Gregory Hathaway (Teresa) of Weston and Suzanne Simmons (Dan) of Coxs Mills; his grandchildren, Miranda Hawkins (Jason) of Weston, Tara Smith (Josh) of Weston, Chelsey McCarthy (Jay) of Weston, Andrew Simmons of Chicago, IL, Abigail Hathaway of Weston, Hannah Simmons (Nick) of Point Pleasant and Emily Jeffries (Adam) of Ashland, KY; his great grandchildren, Sloane Smith and Josephine McCarthy; his pet Scooter; and his siblings, Darrell Hathaway (Sandra) of Mineral Wells and Dixie Gregg (James) of Norwich, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers or donations the Hathaway family asks that, in memory of Charlie, you take time to enjoy the small things.

“I am so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I first met Charlie in Morgantown at a Fiduciary Meeting and we became friends and he was my Mentor. I always considered his friendship a privilege and an honor. Prayers to Barbara, the kids and his many friends during this great loss.”
