He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Columbus Moneypenny and Ella Moneypenny (Smith); his spouse Shirley Carol Piercy; and his siblings, Rosa Pratt, Madaline Rogers, Ralph, Lawrence and Elza Moneypenny.
He is survived by: his son Gary Moneypenny (Robin); his grandchildren, Lindsay Hurley (John) and Rian Moneypenny; and his great grandchildren, Mason of Spartanburg, Claire of Spartanburg and Lillian Hurley of Spartanburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church at 132 East Second Street Weston, WV 26452.
