She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Elmer and Jettie L Martin Mayle; her husband Cecil Gene "Sunny" Elder; her daughter Melinda Gene Elder; her grandson Edward Elder; and her brothers, Delmer Gifford Mayle, Jennings "Gene" Mayle, Walter "Gib" Mayle and Elmer Clifford Mayle.
She is survived by: her children, Cecil E Elder of West Union and Teresa Johnson (Mike) of Sarasota, FL; her grandchildren, Calvin Ripley, Cecilia Anderson (Jeremy), Christina Torpey (Tom) and Mike M Johnson, Jr. (Cassie); her great grandchildren, Gabriela, Liam and Leo; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Doddson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
