He is survived by: his son Josh; his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Joan Adams Brooks; his grandsons, Ezra Curtis Brooks and Joshua Slaughter; and his siblings, Larry Brooks (Ellen), Susie Davis and Kim McCloy (Randy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
