He was predeceased by: his parents, David Franklin and Trevia Stansberry (Kinney); his wife Lillian June Brannon; his siblings, James Edward Franklin Stansberry, Donald Monroe Stansberry, Charles Wayne Stansberry, David Elwood Stansberry, Joe Landon Stansberry and Mary Bell Stansberry; and his great grandchild Russell Paul Hardbarger.
He is survived by: his children, David Stansberry of Vienna, WV, George Stansberry (Beckie) of Jane Lew, WV, Michele Hardbarger (Mike) of Mahone, WV, Lisa Sawitski (Robert) of Fairmont, WV, Melanie Ayers (Charles) of Oxford, WV and Howard Stansberry (Amy) of Dallison, WV; and his sister Patsy Hite of Lost Creek, WV. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
