He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Smarr and Clara Smarr (Sinnett); his daughter Licia Smarr; and his brothers, Jack (Nancy), Steve (Theresa), Bradford "Bud" Smarr and Delmas Smarr.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Smarr (Lipscomb); his children, Darin, Misty Smarr (King), Gary and Cateena Smarr (McKinney) of West Union, WV; his grandchildren, Drew (Natasha Cox), Isaac, Mista Britton (Smarr) of West Union, Darian (Ryan Mullan) of Grafton, WV and Junior; and his sisters, Opal Smith, Sharon Walker (Ronnie Burns) and Juanita Burriss (Loran Smokey). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
