As Sandra departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Sandra. Though Sandra may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold "Bubby" and Pearl Walker; and her siblings, Margaret Malinoski, Harold Mitchell and Mildred Mitchell.
She is survived by: her husband James W. Shorts Sr.; her son James "Jimmy" Shorts Jr. (Margaret); her granddaughter Caitlyn Ayoob (Michael); and her great grandchild Mara Mae Ayoob. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the James Funeral Home (1245 Main St, Follansbee, WV 26037). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
