With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Lorene Tipton of Wellsburg, West Virginia, born in Sistersville, West Virginia, who passed away on November 7, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Manfred "Dutch" and Mettie Mae Brewer (Thompson); her husband Paul E. Smith; her children, Rebecca Jo Yost, Cindy Helt and Edward Smith; her granddaughter Jennifer DeStefano; her son-in-law Ralph Brady; and her siblings, Donald, Billy, Charles Brewer, Esther Harter, Emma Stewart, Imogene Weltz, Marie, Betty Brewer and Rosemary Kirk (Richard).
She is survived by: her children, Belinda Boyce (Danny) of Dillonvale, OH, Paul (Donna), Kim Brady of Parrish, FL, Lorraine Shaffer (Jeff) and Todd Smith (Marlena); her children-in-law, Linda Smith, John Helt of Wellsburg, WV and Dickie Yost of Pittsburgh, PA; and her sister-in-law Norma Jean Brewer of Sistersville, WV. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
