He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Capp and Concetta Capp (Maculate); and his sister Josephine. He is survived by: his wife Joann Capp (Staten); his son Ernest Capp (Marianne) of Wellsburg, WV; his grandchildren, Joshua Whitt of Wheeling, WV, Jeremy Whitt of Columbus, OH and Jenna Wilson (Mark) of Columbus, OH; and his great grandchild Audrianna. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
